Mission Statement: Boulder Crest understands trauma and stress. We know that traumatic stress is debilitating. Our mission is to help struggling veterans, first responders, and their families rediscover hope, purpose, and a belief in a future that is truly worth living. Our team at Boulder Crest uses the science of Posttraumatic Growth to train participants through a proven process of transformation.
Ken should be and is the example for most former EOD technicians on what to strive to be like once leaving the military. He has created successful businesses, helped his community and now is helping other outside his community with Boulder Crest Foundation and EOD Warrior Foundation. Ken shares his story from playing professional hockey, to EOD in the Navy and how all that lead to where he is now. It’s an amazing story and inspirational to say the least. If you haven’t read the book ‘Struggle Well: Thriving in the Aftermath of Trauma’ and you have lived through some intensely challenging situations in live, I recommend it. It breaks down the conceptual evolution of the Boulder Crest and shows the correlation of ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) and how changing one’s perspective on a situation can help take someone with PTSD and lead them to a path of PTG (Posttraumatic Growth).
